While you may be used to a clerk of works who is on-site ensuring that everything is done properly on the ground (and that is part of what we do), we offer something much fuller than that.
In fact, our assistance begins with the project planning itself, where we carry out a fully comprehensive project review from start to finish, before any actual construction has even begun.
This project review consists of many identifiable parts. We will, for instance, provide expert advice on all manner of technical construction issues that are likely to arise as a result of the project plan.
We’ll do this with a full understanding of your objectives and requirements, whatever they may be, including becoming fully familiarized with your briefs, design guides, specifications, budgets and preferred construction processes.
Past that, we will take an understanding of all relevant contractual documentation and requirements for the project to ensure that the legal side of things is maintained as well.
We will work hard to set up and arrange all relevant quality monitoring procedures for the entirety of the project’s duration, and consistently review and revise proposals and designs and specifications too. We’ll even advise on any construction strategies that might be in place, and site management methods.
Finally, we will review and advise on strategies for the use of MMC.
Once that is completed, it is time to start looking at the actual activities that are taking place on-site. A vital part of our services is this site inspection, which ensures that everything is going according to plan during the actual construction aspect of the project. With our help, quality management and management processes will be reviewed and changed as necessary along the way, helping to keep the process working as it should. Throughout, we will keep in close contact with you regarding the efficacy of these methods.
We’ll carry out regular site inspections along with meetings of all types during the construction process. This will help ensure that everything is being approached in the manner that you would prefer, and in an effective and useful way. Such inspections include essential stages, benchmarking, witnessing, and testing, along with any targeted inspections as dictated by you.
Along the way, we will constantly check the work being carried out alongside the original contract drawings and specifications, as well as specific instructions and legally required standards. We will witness anything that might be required during fabrication and commissioning of plants and other systems too. This might also involve, as required, the witnessing of testing of materials and products and other components.
We’ll review those test results against performance requirements, and review certificates along the way too.
Finally, at the end of the project, we will carry out a final and comprehensive review of the works upon completion. This will involve carrying out any snagging and de-snagging inspections, and producing all relevant reports as required. We will also carry out inspection of defects that may be found and produce reports of those and end-of-defects inspections too.
Finally, we’ll advise and support you on the identification of all relevant defects and inform and advise on the rectification of those defects. All projects can expect to have one or two of these, and we will be able to help you to produce exactly the solutions for whatever may be found.
